Stella's Store

Stella wants to have better idea of what her customers like and  makes the decision to do her own poll with her own customers. She  decides to use the new First-Past-The-Fixed-Post method of voting.  She gives the customers the  choice of 6 fruits  and asks them to pick their first choice and  their second choice. The ballot looks like the one below:

Sample FPTP Ballot

Stella's customers  mark an X for their favorite fruit in the "First Choice" column. Then they mark an X for their second favorite fruit in the "Second Choice" column. Finally, they cast their ballot (in this case, putting  it in the ballot box).

Stella's Store: Initial Count

The first choice votes are counted and the fruits are ranked by the number of votes that they have received.  A total of 14600 votes are cast, therefore the Fixed-Post is set at 7301.
