Comparison Setup

Note: Read the following setup carefully, and decide who you think would be the best candidate for the riding, before you look at the results.

The riding has four candidates:  Albert, Betty, Caitlyn and Daniel

Albert has a group of loyal supporters who would vote for him no matter what. Albert's supporters can't fathom the thought of voting for either Betty or Caitlyn, but they would have no problem voting for Daniel if Albert wasn't on the ballot.

Betty also has a very loyal following. Unfortunately the only person that they despise more than Caitlyn is Albert. They wouldn't vote for either one. Daniel on the other hand, wouldn't be a bad choice, and they would vote for him if Betty wasn't on the ballot.

Caitlyn has her own groupies  who would follow her wherever she decided to wander. They wouldn't give the time of day to either Albert or Betty, much less vote for them. Daniel wouldn't be an issue and they would vote for him if Caitlyn wasn't on the ballot.

Daniel doesn't have a loyal following, but he also doesn't have any enemies. Everyone likes Daniel.
